Hospices of Hope is a British charitable organization that has dedicated more than 30 years to the efficient and active development of palliative care services in South-Eastern Europe.
Present in the Republic of Moldova since 2008, Hospices of Hope Moldova has been actively developing, since 2017, the National Network of Palliative Care Services – the first of its kind in the country.
At present, this network consists of six multidisciplinary mobile teams providing free services to beneficiaries in Chișinău, Orhei, Soroca, Ocnița, Taraclia, and Bălți (starting from 2026).
The activity is fully supported through the coverage of costs for medications, medical consumables, mobile equipment, staff salaries, utilities, telecommunications services, and transport.
All medical staff benefit from continuous professional training in palliative care and from the support of the joint resource center in Chișinău, ensuring high-quality services for terminally ill patients.
In addition, the organization is an importer and supplier of ostomy bags and accessories, distributed nationwide through mobile teams.
Hospices of Hope Moldova is part of the international Hospices of Hope network, alongside branches in Romania (Brașov and Bucharest), Serbia (Belgrade), and Albania, with its headquarters in the United Kingdom.
